Who is telling you this

REPLACE-WITH-LEGAL-ENTITY publishes independent planning guides to Arctic and sub-Arctic wildlife travel in Canada. We are based in Calgary. We are not a tour operator, a travel agency or a booking service, and we have never sold a seat on anything.

What this site is

A reference publication. We research trips that are hard to evaluate from a brochure — where the fine print does most of the work — and write down what we find. That is the entire purpose.

  • No shopping cart, no booking engine, no enquiry form, no payment facility
  • We hold no inventory and cannot reserve, change or cancel anything
  • We will never ask for your card details. If a site claiming to be us does, it is not us
  • Operators' own contact details are published so you can go direct

How this guide is funded

REPLACE-WITH-LEGAL-ENTITY funds this site from its own resources. As of 2 August 2026 we have no affiliate agreement, referral arrangement or commission relationship with Classic Canadian Tours, Frontiers North Adventures, Canadian North, Wapusk Adventures or any other business named on this site. Nobody pays us to say any of this, and nobody has reviewed it before publication.

If that ever changes — if we accept sponsorship, advertising or commission — we will disclose it here and at the top of every affected page, before you read the recommendation rather than after. That is a commitment, not a formality.

Where the information comes from

Everything here is drawn from operators' published itineraries, terms and booking pages, from airline and ground-operator documentation, and from public sources on Churchill and polar bear ecology. Every page carries the date it was last checked.

We do not invent prices. Where an operator does not publish a figure, we say so instead of guessing, even though a number would make the page more attractive.

Corrections

If you have travelled on one of these tours and something here is wrong or out of date, write to editor@churchillbearguide.com. We will check it, fix it and note the change. Operators are welcome to do the same.
